The following is an sample workout that will get our fat loss engines working for us. As recommended by Isabel De Los Rios in the diet solution her "stop dieting, start eating and start living" program which is the best way to reduce weight.
Multiplanar movements are exercises which are designed to ensure that we are moving in all dimensions (Forward and Back, Side to Side, and Rotation). Why do we want to do this? By doing exercises that move our body in all directions. This will increase our fat loss results exponentially.
For example, let’s say we want to train our legs and butt. A typical Leg Press machine would just have us working in the Forward and Back direction.
However, if we chose to do a squat instead this is how we could hit all directions:
1. The basic squat: We place our feet a shoulder width apart and sit back as if we were going to sit on a bench and then using our legs and butt come back up to a standing position. (Forward and Back)
2. The side squat: This is performed with the same squatting movement with the addition of a step out to the side which is alternates to the left and then the right, with each squat. (Side to Side)
3. Sumo Walk Squat: We go down into a squat position and then walk forward and back like a sumo wrestler would do. (The rotation)
These exercises if done correctly will exercise more muscles than simple leg presses and will end up giving us far better results!
